High Performance Liquid Chromatography/HPLC
High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)-Added Capabilities:
We have offered High-Performance Liquid Chromatography for many years. Within the last 5 years we have expanded our capability in this area. We now offer HPLC with ELSD (Evaporative Light Scattering Detector) detection. The ELSD is useful for carbohydrate analysis and analysis of all larger molecules which do not have chromophores. ELSD is also useful for surfactant identification and analysis. We also use a refractive index detector which is another universal detector that can be useful with compounds lacking functional groups that absorb in the ultraviolet or visible spectrum. We have methods developed for many pharmaceuticals and consumer product additives and active ingredients and have the ability to develop accurate analytical methods very quickly for analyses in unusual matrices.
We have developed many new methodologies for surfactant analysis using HPLC-ELSD, RI, or DAD detectors. The following surfactants are a small subsection of the surfactants that we commonly analyze in our laboratory:
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Alcohol Ethoxylates, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Xylene Sulfonate, Triton X-100, Dodecyl Benzene Sulfonate, Cetyl Pyidinium Chloride, Polyethylene Glycol, Ethoxylated Alcohol(s), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, and many, many more.
